Q: What are the differences between the 2000X and the 2000XR?
The main difference is the incredible new battery technology used. The 2000X has a standard NiMH battery, like the ones currently used in the Toyota Prius hybrid car. The 2000XR uses a state-of-the-art nanotechnology battery from A123 Systems. It is the safest, lightest, most powerful Lithium battery on the market today. The 2000XR also has an Ensolite rubber padding system under the wood deck, making the ride much more smooth and comfortable.

Q: Can I upgrade my 2000X to a 2000XR?
If you own a 2000X and would like to upgrade to a 2000XR, please contact support@gosportinggoods.com and let us know. We will give you instructions on how to do this. Basically, you will need to ship your board back to us in Palm Desert, CA, and then we will swap out the old battery and charger, put in the new battery and charger, and add the Ensolite padding under the deck. The cost for the parts and labor to perform this service is $450. Note: We are not offering a "do-it-yourself" upgrade kit, you must send it in to us to perform the work. We can only perform a limited number of upgrades each week, so there may be a wait.

Q: Can I just buy the 2000XR battery and put it in my 2000X?
